Maclovia “Maco” Moran

Maclovia Moran came to the United States from Jalisco, Mexico so her daughters could have education, opportunity, and freedom to choose their own futures.

Her courage and sacrifices became the foundation for the generations that followed.

Robert Owen Burtman

Robert Owen Burtman was born in Wildrose, North Dakota in 1923. He served his country in the United States Navy and later graduated with honors from Stanford University.

He spent his career working at Stanford University where he eventually became Director of Research Coordination.

His life was dedicated to education, service, and family.

The Next Generation

Their legacy continues through the next generation, including Jessica, who pursued higher education and excellence in athletics and academics.

The Maco Moran Opportunity Scholarship

The Maco Scholarship was created to honor Maclovia Moran and support students who believe in education, perseverance, and helping others.
